Dragon Arts Collective is home to an interdisciplinary group of performing, visual, literary and healing artists. Located at 91 Albert Street, the multi-purpose creative zone in Winnipeg’s Exchange District has three studios on two floors of the building.
Our flagship studio was founded in the spring of 2013 by three healing artists who shared a visionary idea. Darci Adam, Jitendradas Loves-Life and Tamara Hajsky wanted to establish a warm and welcoming environment that could be used as a haven for discovery and exploration of one’s sacred life purpose through art, movement, and sound. The vision brought the three healers to the perfect venue on Albert Street and on the eve of June 30th 2013 Dragon Arts Collective was born.
Shortly after its conception, DAC began to attract artists, yoga teachers, performers, and internationally acclaimed healers from across Canada and the US. Only two years in the making, the collective has now expanded it’s membership from three members to a tribe of many, and has grown from one studio to three. Our schedules are regularly filled with events, meetings, and classes every day of the week, and all three of our studios act as art galleries, featuring art work by well respected professional artists from across Canada.
As a not-for-profit cooperative Dragon Arts Collective relies heavily on a network of supporters who share a common goal – to serve our community by providing a safe space to explore the various avenues of healing through the arts.
