CaRaVaN Open Mic & Open Stage is Winnipeg’s “Anything Goes” open mic: music of all genres, spoken word, comedy, dance, ranting, magic, stories, whatever you can come up with. Taking place every single Monday night, sign up begins at 7:00 PM, with the show starting around 7:30 PM and ending before 10. We have 14 performance spots available each week — musicians get 2 songs and all others get 5 minutes.
CaRaVaN, started by Ali Tataran and now run by a collective including Paul Little, Ronel Amata, and Nelson Cordeiro, began in the confines of Frame Arts Warehouse, with a detour at Occupy Winnipeg. After 2 years in the Purple Room, CaRaVaN can currently be found at the Rudolf Rocker as part of the Dragon Arts Collective.
